The Mountain Echo reports the week's series against Newark like a bartender settling an argument. Yellville took two of three.

No standings table, no box score, no recap. The Mountain Echo covered a three-game series with Newark in one breath: “Call the score please. Here it is: Monday’s game, Yellville 8 Newark 1. Tuesday, Yellville 5 Newark 3. Wednesday, Newark 4 Yellville 1.”

Elsewhere on the same page the Echo noted that Newark had finally “achieved its goal” and defeated Yellville in one game out of nine. Every town paper should be legally required to cover sports this way.
